Why Epoxidized Soybean Oil Formula

Leave a message

Epoxidized soybean oil is made of edible soybean oil and hydrogen peroxide as the main raw materials, using the production process and formula. In line with the requirements of US FDA standards, epoxy soybean oil has the characteristics of odorless, non-toxic, light color and high transparency, and has a wide range of uses. Adding epoxy soybean oil in the production process of PVC products not only has a good plasticizing effect on PVC, but also can quickly absorb the hydrogen chloride degraded by heat and light, thereby preventing the continuous decomposition of PVC. Stabilize the active chlorine atoms on the PVC chain and act as a stabilizer.

The combination of epoxy soybean oil and polyester plasticizer can reduce the migration of polyester plasticizer. It has a significant synergistic effect when used with metal heat stabilizers, which can greatly increase the stabilizing effect. At this time, the amount of metal soaps can be reduced to one-third of the total amount required for single use. Because the compatibility of this product with PVC is equivalent to DOP, and its plasticizing efficiency is better than DOP, using this product can reduce the amount of total plasticizer in the product. This not only reduces the cost, but also improves the product's technical indicators, such as enhancing the product's impact resistance, transparency, printability, weldability, etc.
