CCTV Spotlight! Lianyungang Jia'ao Powers Blue Skies with UCO

On July 30, CCTV-13 News Channel's News Live Room · Mid-Year Economic Review featured the remarkable achievements of Jia'ao's Lianyungang project in a segment titled Institutional Innovation Escorts Foreign Trade Enterprises onto New Tracks. The report highlighted how technological breakthroughs and policy support enabled the successful conversion of UCO (Used Cooking Oil) into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), achieving China's first-ever SAF export and pioneering new green pathways for foreign trade.
This milestone is not only a pride for our company but also the ultimate recognition of our relentless commitment to green transformation!
Turning Waste into Wings: From UCO to Jet Fuel
As China's first SAF export pilot enterprise on the "Whitelist," Lianyungang Jia'ao New Energy Co., Ltd. has achieved the inspiring feat of transforming UCO-once an environmental and food safety concern-into high-value SAF through specialized refining processes.
This green fuel, produced from renewable UCO feedstock, reduces lifecycle carbon emissions by 60%–90%. It eliminates pollution risks from illicit UCO recycling while providing an economically scalable solution for global aviation's "net-zero" transition-showcasing the company's leadership in sustainable innovation.
Whitelist Breakthrough: Smashing Export Barriers
Crucially, this breakthrough was accelerated by national policy support. Previously, SAF faced export hurdles as a novel product category lacking established trade frameworks.
At this pivotal moment, the Ministry of Commerce and other departments pioneered an innovative "Whitelist" regulatory model. Qualified enterprises were permitted to pilot exports, with cross-ministerial data sharing enabling real-time monitoring. This dismantled traditional quota systems, allowing companies to independently obtain export licenses and scale operations. Such institutional innovation has catalyzed green industries-standardizing practices while empowering technological pioneers-reflecting China's strategic commitment to low-carbon development.

Historic First Shipment, Accelerating Growth
In May, the company successfully exported 13,400 tonnes of UCO-derived SAF, marking China's maiden SAF export. The shipment reached its destination port on July 14, with orders secured through year-end and monthly exports projected at 30,000 tonnes.
Lianyungang Jia'ao New Energy's achievement not only delivers a "Lianyungang Model" for China's green energy exports but also demonstrates to the world China's decisive action in advancing global decarbonization!
