Lianyungang Jiaao New Energy Holds Signing Ceremony for Project Capital Increase and Share Expansion Agreement
On August 21, China National Aviation Fuel Group Investment Co., Ltd. and Lianyungang Jiaao New Energy Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for a capital increase and share expansion agreement. Ma Shiguang, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, attended and witnessed the signing. The ceremony was also attended by Shen Zhaojun, Party Secretary and Chairman of China National Aviation Fuel Group; Li Wei, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of China National Aviation Fuel Group; Gu Xian, Deputy Director of Bioenergy Asia-Pacific at BP; Shen Jian, Chairman of Zhejiang Jiaao Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd.; and Wu Gangyu, Standing Committee Member of the Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor.
Promoting the development of the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) industry is a crucial pathway to achieving green and low-carbon transformation in the aviation sector. In 2022, Zhejiang Jiaao Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. invested in establishing Lianyungang Jiaao New Energy Co., Ltd. in Guanyun County, launching China's first large-scale sustainable aviation fuel production project with an annual capacity of 500,000 tons, using waste oils as raw materials and employing the globally leading Ecofining technology. By the end of 2024, the first phase of the project was successfully put into operation. In March of this year, Lianyungang Jiaao New Energy delivered its first batch of bio-aviation fuel products to China National Aviation Fuel Group. On May 3, the company successfully obtained a bio-aviation fuel export license, marking the official launch of the national bio-aviation fuel "white list" export pilot program in Guanyun County, Lianyungang City.
As a state-owned central enterprise, China National Aviation Fuel Group has long been committed to advancing the SAF industry, driving green and low-carbon transformation in aviation energy through efforts in research, supply, and保障保障 (safeguarding). This collaboration represents a powerful integration of both parties' strengths and deep synergy across the industrial chain's upstream and downstream. It aims to create a model of mutually beneficial central-local cooperation, further supporting the national "dual-carbon" initiatives and jointly writing a new chapter in green development for civil aviation.
