Egypt gazette of May 7: Egypt's ministry of trade and industry recently issued an order to remove plastic waste and rubber waste from the list of prohibited imports, the ministry said in a statement. The order said plastic and rubber waste, which is tested by internationally recognized laboratories to be free of any pollution or hazardous substances, could be imported into Egypt, and only recycling companies registered with the industrial development authority (IDA) could import such waste.
