Not all plastic products contain plasticizers. Polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene, polycarbonate, polyester, nylon, polyurethane, ABS, and other plastic products are common in daily life, in the production process There is no need to add plasticizers, they have nothing to do with "plasticizers".
1. The purpose of adding plasticizer is to make plastic soft and easy to process. Plasticizers are basically used in PVC plastics, which are not found in other plastics, and are mostly used in soft PVC, but not in hard PVC. (PVC, or polyvinyl chloride plastic, is currently the most widely used plastic material).
2. There are dozens of plasticizers, not all of which are harmful to the human body. Now the most troublesome is the phthalate plasticizer, there are many kinds of such plasticizers, the most commonly used is DEHP, also known as DOP, the full name is 2-Ethylhexyl phthalate, commonly known as dioctyl Ester, it is also the most commonly used plasticizer. This type of plasticizer is not poisonous, and it will not be poisoned when eaten. It is only a chemical with estrogenic effects, which will affect the development of children and the physical health of men, so, In Europe and the United States, and other countries, it is stipulated that children should not have any plastics, and adult products are allowed to exist in small amounts. There are also some restrictions on more than a dozen ophthalmic plasticizers such as DINP, DBP, DOS, etc.
3. Not all plasticizers are harmful and cannot be used. Now there are many kinds of environmentally friendly and non-toxic plasticizers that have been used in large quantities (as long as they meet national standards, they can be used with confidence);
4. Most of the plastics we usually come into contact with are not PVC, but PP, PE, PC, ABS, etc. are common. They do not contain plasticizers, because they do not need to be added, nor can they be added;
5. Some soft PVC products that everyone can come into contact with in daily life, such as electric wires, children's inflatable toys (swimming rings, inflatable pads, etc.), transparent plastic bags for a blanket and quilt packaging, transparent plastic soft curtains, quilts, etc. The kind of thick plastic table mats called soft glass, etc., and most of these contain o-phthalic plasticizers, but ordinary people have skin-to-skin contact, and the amount is very small, so there is no need to worry at all.
6. As long as it is soft PVC, it must contain plasticizers, but it is definitely not plasticizers that are harmful to the human body. For example, disposable infusion tubes, blood transfusion tubes, some infusion bags and blood transfusion bags used in hospitals are all soft PVC. They are all in use, not just in China because they use environmentally friendly non-toxic plasticizers, which have not been found to be harmful to the human body.
